An initiative dedicated to enhancing the relationship and dialogues between two of the most ancient civilizations of the East.
The Shal-Om initiative is one born of a shared vision by a group of Indians and Israelis who have a profound mutual love for the peoples and cultures of India and Israel. We believe, that just as our nations’ ancestors forged strong friendships, our future bond too, will only grow closer and stronger, and our destinies are certain to be inextricably linked to each other.
It is our mission to enhance engagement between the two peoples through Educational, Cultural, Business, Research, and Awareness ventures. These will serve to realize our Vision and to equip and empower those who seek to contribute to the realization thereof. We seek to build a great family of Indians and Israelis based on of love, mutual respect, and understanding.
The Shal-Om Initiative is one which endeavors to implement a range of initiatives across multiple dimensions – including Business, Education, and Cultural Exchange. We welcome all to our family to further our vision; while we invite, involve, and include individuals and organizations across a wide spectrum and a wide range of backgrounds and persuasions, we remain secular and apolitical in our approach.
Education & Awareness : With the help of experts in partnership with universities, we will design and offer educational courses, student exchange programs, and exposure visit trips (Indians to Israel and Israelis to India).
Business & Research : Besides improved trade, co-investment, and startup matchmaking, we also look to promote and implement economically synergistic bilateral agreements.
Culture & Dialogue : The two nations’ shared love for and interest in Yoga, Cinema, and Music (performances and courses), besides spirituality and religion (dialogues and discussions) are only a few among the many opportunities we seek to promote and expand.
